PURE Rawsilk blouse material
Pure Rawsilk material is the best for Bridal blouses. The rich fabric has beautiful rich shine and stands out like a jewel. Also the pure rawsilk supports heavy handwork embroidery. Since it is expensive it is mostly used for bridal, wedding and festive occasions. Most Sabyasachi wedding blouses are made of this fabric.
The stiffness it provides to hold the embroidery together makes it preferable for maggam work, mirror work and aari work.

PURE Silk blouse material (pattu silk)
Pure Pattu or Pattu Silk blouse material is the traditional silk fabric highly preferred for silk sarees. Unlike pure rawsilk, pattu silk is soft and light weight fabric. It is known for the rich shining look and soft texture. The best part of pure pattu is that though it looks shiny like satin it is breathable and comfortable to wear. Pure pattu silk is the go to fabric for silk sarees.
You can get handwork done on it as well, but not the heavy ones, as the fabric tends to form wrinkles due to weight of the embroidery materials.
